Question:
I am almost 6 weeks post-op & At my 1st check up I had lost 30 pounds
(that was on 01/15/03) & here it is almost a couple of weeks later & I have NOT lost one pound. I have been watching what I eat & drinking plenty of fluids plus I'm now walking. I just want to know if this is normal or am I just expecting too much? — Beth G. (posted on January 27, 2003)

hi there! :) congrats on your surgery and your weight loss! its very
normal. your body is still going through the healing process and adjusting
to the new way of life. continue your great habits and try not to get
discouraged, try not to live on the scale as it will only make you
crazy, give yourself 3 months and youll be amazed, this really does work,
best of luck to you, haang in there! :)

I had my surgery open RNY on 12/17/02 and have 30 pounds so far my first 21
pounds came off in the 1st 2 weeks after surgery I figure as long as it's
comming off instead of going on it's o.k. I was also hoping to lose more.
