Question:
Know of a laproscopic surgeon in IL (not Chicago) or St. Louis?
I am wanting to have this done laproscopically and I can't find anyone in Illinois (preferably not Chicago) or St. Louis who does it this way. — Erin Z. (posted on January 10, 2003)

There is Dr. Amir Heydari in Crystal Lake, IL which is in McHenry county.
Check the find a doc section of this web site, then look in Illinois.
Good luck to you

Any one of the doctors at Peoria Surgical Group, although mine is Dr.
Stephen Marshall. I have also met Dr. Rossi and Dr. Gupta and found them
both very likeable. Go to www.peoriasurgicalgroup.com for information. I
recently heard they are going to start a program in Rockford, IL also at
Saint Anthony Medical Center. Good Luck to you! - Anna LAP RNY 7/3/02

Dr. Sidney Rohrscheib in Clinton, Illinois (central Illinois) has recently
begun the lap after doing open RNYs for a long time. He was my surgeon and
I would have no problems reccomending him. His place is called the
Illinois Bariatric Center if you'd be interested. Good luck to you!

As far as I'm concerned, and considered one of the best surgeons in the US,
is Christopher Eagon in St Louis at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He does have a
long waiting period.

I agree, Dr Eagon at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO is probably
the best in this area. He does have a waiting list but his professionalism
and expertise is well worth the wait. I had lap on 12/18/02 and have had
zero trouble.
