Question:
Will I ever get to drink water normally again?

Yes. at 4 months out I drink water the same as before surgery. This has
been true for about 2 months for me.

i had surgery on nov 12th and i can drink half a 12oz can of minute maid
light or brisk diet iced tea wait a few minutes then finish it off. so
that's a whole can in less than 10 minutes.

I feel the same way. I had WLS on 12/4/2002 and I miss drinking water and
juice and just a nice drink without sipping.

At 6 months out I can gulp water once again...have been able to do that
since around 3 or 4 months out.

It will happen. I am 10 weeks out, and have been able to drink water
without a problem for about 3 weeks. Gulp it. :) Good luck.

Hi,
I am almost 5 months post RNY and I drink like I did before the surgery.I
have for a month or so now.. I think everything gets better with
time..LOL..Kind of like us girls..LOL...Lots of luck to you..

Yes. I was surprised after surgery to see that water did not agree with my
pouch. I didnt really start drinking it until 2 months post (in any amount
anyway). I started with room-temp. Now at 6 monhts post, I can drink nice
cold water pretty quickly as before.
