Question:
Any SUBSTITUTE for POWDERED SUGAR and light CORN SYRUP?
It's holiday baking time and I'd love to be able to adapt 2 special recipes so that I can enjoy a small holiday treat with the rest of my family, but is there any sugar free substitute for powdered sugar or for light corn syrup? Thanks! — jen41766 (posted on December 14, 2002)

Hi there, Jennifer! I can't remember where I found this but here is one
for the sf powdered sugar substitute.
Ingredients: 2 cups nonfat dry milk powder, 2 cups cornstarch, 1 cup
granulated sugar replacement. Directions:
Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender. Whip until well
blended and powdered. I still haven't found one for corn syrup. Hope it
helps. Vi

Splenda makes a substitute that you can cook with. It is in our grocery
store (Publix)

I use SugarLike liquid. It's light, like Karo? And use a powdered rice
version of Better than Milk with SugarLike granulated for a powdered sugar.
