Question:
I need help with phases!
I recently had a lady ask me to help her with phase 2 and phase 3 bariatric diets. I feel like an idiot because I don't know exactly what they are. I'm assuming phase 1 is clear liquids and phase 2 is complete liquids but beyond that I'm clueless - I think it's just because our program doesn't call them phases. Can some nice person please explain the phases to me and give me some examples. Thanks alot!! — ronascott (posted on November 18, 2002)

According to my directions: Phase one = clear liquids (for some this is
full liquids); Phase two = full liquids (for some this is pureed); Phase
three = Pureed (for some this is real food chewed well); Phase four =
Adding tougher foods like raw veggies and such. Hope that helps.
