A BMI of 40 or above or A BMI of 35 and above with serious weight related
illnesses. I would suggest researching the many different kinds of wls to
find the best one suited for you. Go to a search engine and type in weight
loss surgery and you should get lots of information.

Susan, i'm 5'5, 258 lbs, i have arthritis from hell in my back, knees and
feet, have had two stress fractures in my right foot, i take Zoloft 200mg
per day because i just cannot handle everyday life, high blood pressure and
borderline diabetic. Most health related problems due to excessive weight
are good enough reason for insurance to let you have the surgery. There
are a lot of info. out there and this site is the best. Good luck!
