Question:
Anyone been approved while on COBRA or had trouble getting approved?

I was approved for surgery while on COBRA and they covered all the tests,
surgery, etc. I believe that if you are under COBRA coverage, that the
insurance company is required to treat you exactlly as they would any
regular insured person. Good luck! Make sure to keep your payments
perfectly because they could try to dump you if you're so much as a day
late. Everything went really well for me, I hope it goes as smoothly for
you.

I ditto Amanda's reply exactly. COBRA coverage, no problems at all. They
say it takes about 10 days to process your premium but I don't take any
chances and send it in at least 3 weeks early.

COBRA insurance is the same insurance you had...the only difference is in
how you pay your premium. Coverage should remain the same. Your not
changing policies, only the premium payment method.

Pretty much ditto to the other comments. I have just been approved for the
surgery while on COBRA. I'm not certain the insurance even knows you're on
COBRA. Your insurance payments go to a different source, but the benefits
people are not involved in that part of the process. Good luck!
