I can say that I had the micropouch done in 4/15/02 with Dr. Woods who is
partners with dr. sapala and I believe now dr. Schuhknect too. They moved
in I beleive May to Warren, cause mine was done in Detroit. These Dr's are
awsome and have tons of knowledge, cause like the BTC, this is all they do,
it's what they specialize in, so you have great surgeons in mind, and you
will also talk to a medical nutritionist too. I am happy with my decision,
and I have lost so far 80lbs. Also, they have support group meetings once
a month, their next one is the last Wednesday in September. As far as with
the micropouch. I feel great and can eat normally, meaning it isn't like
you take a bite and feel full, but it is very small, which means less
chances of getting bigger, but I don't feel like I am restricted or
anything. email me if you have any further questions.

I too had Dr. Wood...and Dr. S is his new partner. I had surgery January
24th of this year and have lost about 125 pounds now. Loved Dr. Wood to
death, although the follow up care isn't that great, so you better be
motivated to make all your appointments.

I, too, had the fabulous Dr. Wood for my micropouch surgery. In fact, I
traveled from Grand Rapids just so I could have the micropouch surgery.
Their office staff is excellent and so is Dr. Wood. BiCounty Community
hospital was pretty good, in my opinion. As for my micropouch, I love
it...I can't wait to go back for the second checkup Friday (at 5 weeks post
op) so I can see how much weight I've lost. I haven't had any major
problems...just the usual adjustment ones. I am thankful to Dr. Wood and
his office staff and have no regrets about having the micropouch!! Good
luck!
