I had surgery on May 7, 2002. I started out at 375. I now weigh 304 pounds.
So that would be about 70 pounds in 3 and a half months. But everyone is
differant.

starting wt was 264 and now I am 223. I consider my loss to be average not
fast like some but not to slow either. Good luck to you!

I am 5'10" and started at 306 before my surgery June 11, 2002. I
weigh 252.5 today. I've kept a weekly log of my weight and measurements,
which I will continue to keep as I lose weight. Feel free to check it out
to see my weekly weight losses:

going on a family vacation to Hawaii in December. Good luck to both of us-
hopefully we'll look great in our bathing suits!

I had Lap RNY on Jan 16 2002. Started at 339. This morning I am at 227
.Down 112 lbs. I am right on track with the chart for losing 80 percent of
my excess body weight. At 3 months though I was aabout 20 pounds behind, so
it comes off at its own pace.

Your not going to be in a bikini by December, but you will definately have
more energy and be able to do all the "fun" stuff with your
family. The weight will come off at it's own pace. Have a great weight loss
journey, and a wonderful vacation!

I had surgery on April 30th and am down 102 pounds as of this morning. I
don't know how typical that is but I have always lost weight quickly.
Unfortunately I used to gain it just as fast LOL! - Mike

I had my lap RNY on April 18 and I have lost 79 pounds. I averaged about 7
pounds/week at first, now it is about 2 pounds/week... which is plenty fast
enough for me!
Even if you lose a little before your trip you will feel SO much better.
Don't pay attention so much to the pounds. I will come of eventually.

and one week post op I have lost 61 lbs. I was a size 26W and now I'm an

Christi,
I know that everyone is different. I had surgery on Jan. 03,2002. I
started out at 244 and am down to 158 (I am 5'7). I lost the bulk of that
weight in the first 5 months. I was considered a light weight having a BMI
around 37. I am now wearing a size 10 and working hard to get to my goal
of a size 8 and 148 pounds.

Hi there :) I lost 67 pounds in 11 weeks (and 3 days). Most of it was in
the early weeks, and I am hitting a lot of plateus now. I only started
really "behaving" a few weeks ago, and the loss is picking up
again. I hadn't been eating very well or taking protein like I should have
been, but I am lucky to have lost this much. Imagine what I would have lost
if I was doing everything by the book! God Bless.

Everyone is different of course, but I was down 56.5 pounds in the first
three months. (I was 319 a month before surgery, and 305 official surgery
weight). I would guess you may lose around 60 lbs in the first three months
for a "ballpark" figure.

Christi,
I think we all loose at a similar rate, Iguess it just depends if we stick
to the tool plan, meaning watching the , the protien, fat, and carbs
intake, as well as making sure we get some form of exercise in. I myself
have fallen off the band wagon time and time again, but I guess that is
life, I look at WLS as a tool and that I'm in charge, the only way that
I'll hit my own personal goal is to be determined, If you figure we have 1
year to re-train our way of thinking and eating. To ensure that in the end
we are thinking healthy and eating healthy. It's a never ending thing but
it's up to us, and WLS is only a tool.
I'm post op 3 month 3 days and down 73 pounds
Had surgery May 24,2002 starting weight of 303 height of 5"10
