Hi, I can't stomach powdered tea mixes myself.. besides they have caffeine
in them, and caffeine is a diurectic. Many surgeons recommend that we don't
drink caffeniated beverages, that anything sugar free and non caffeinated
can count as water. I make my own decaf iced tea. Red Rose, Tetley and
most store brands put out decaf regular tea bags. Your favorite sweetener
and a little fresh lemon and you have great iced tea.. cheaper than buying
the powder too. Best of luck to you! ~Peace

I use the lipton cold brew tea all the time. I keep a couple bags in my
purse and pants pockets with some sweet and low. When I get tired of water
I turn it into tea. 1 tea bag and 2 sweet and low packs for a 16-20 oz.
bottle of water. The good thing is you can make the tea as strong or weak
and you like it. My nutionist was not concerned about the caffeine and it
does count towards your water. I also try and keep beef jerky on hand to
snack on for protein. After all this time (1 year post-op) I'm still not
tired of either one. Good luck to you... :)

I use their diet peach tea. I can't stand our water because of the choline
taste so I make a weak peach tea. In this way I've been able to cut down
some on the diet pop. At least it's more healthy than that. ;)

Nope, has caffeine in it. I do brew decaff tea all of the time though.

I called Lipton to find out how much caffine was in the diet raspberry ice
tea mix and was told that the amount was very, very little, compared to a
cup a coffee. I checked with a nutritionist and she said it was okay so I
use it all the time. If you haven't tried the raspberry, it is terrific.
Also just found a diet ice tea caffine free in a can - it is available at
Kroger Stores - it is their brand of Big K. It has a sugar substitute but
is is very tasty and it also comes in a lemon flavored tea also.

Robin, I have used the decaf. one in the green bottle to get in all of my
water. I found it at Wal-Mart beside the one you mentioned. Caffeine
dehydrates you. The Decaf. is great for getting in your fluids.

I am 4 weeks post op and drink it ALL the time as an alternative to
water..sometimes water just gets boring..I have had NO problem with it at
all...I agree that there is such a small amount of caffeine that it really
doesn't make much of a difference.
