Question:
***Exactly how do you back-up your Profile page??

AMOS keeps saying to back-up our Profile page but never tells anyone EXACTLY Step by Step how to do this.    — Janet C. (posted on July 23, 2002)

Well one way is to print a hard copy and keep it in a safe place. I have searched the library for the other way that worked well fact I saved a newspaper article but search in the library isnt perfect and I havent found the quick easy one someone posted before. So I am waiting for a answer as well. But DO print a hard copy just in case...

Here is what I do: <p> Place your curser in the box where you enter your profile info, hit CTRL+A, this will highlight what is in the box (you have to put the curse in the box, otherwise everythin that is on the page is highlighted) <p> Hit CTRL+C, this will copy the info <p> Open MS Word, or which ever word processor you use <p> Hit CTRL+V, this will paste the info from your profile into the Word document <p> Go up to File, and save your profile to your hard drive. <p> What I usually do is open my profile in Word, update the info, do a spell check, copy the new entry only then paste it onto the AMOS site. If you do this don't forget to save the Word document before you close it! This way my backup is always up to date with out having to go thru the process above. If you want to be super safe, save the Word doc onto a floppy (in case of computer meltdowns!)

I just go to my profile webpage and choose File/Save As in my browser. This gives me the option to save my page as an HTML page, which I do. You can then open your page in any browser...you won't get the graphics that belong to obestityhelp as they won't be linked properly, but you'll get all your test and graphics linked to outside the obesityhelp website. You can also then choose View/Page Source, and you'll get all the HTML code for your page. Hugs, Joy
