Hi, here is a link to a list of all Canadian weight loss surgeons. http://bandsters.crosswinds.net/default.htm I don't know what kind of surgery you're interested in, but there are no WLS surgeons in Manitoba. Most patients either go to Alberta or Ontario. My surgeon does many RNY patients from Winnipeg and area. I believe there is a Winnipeg support group called the "Snowflakes" that meets monthly. If you'd like more info on that, you can join the online support group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ossg-westcan Waiting lists are very long for any WLS surgery, so my advice would be to act quickly. I have been waiting a year and a half, with about five months to go to my surgery date. Good Luck!
