Question:
What else can I do about constipation?

Are you really constipated or just not going as often as you think you
think you 'should'?

I had that problem for a year post-op, and the best thing I found for it
was Peri-Colace, but be sure to get that water in, too. Also, we do need
some oil and roughage(sp?) in our diet, so make sure you're not just eating
protein.

Sugar free chocolate. Works wonders. But like one said, add some
fats/oils and roughage to balance out the protein affects. Good luck and
God Bless!

I have to use psyllium husk caps EVERY day.For me, it has to be Yerba Prima
brand, and say PSYLLIUM HUSK CAPS, not fiber caps w/psyluim husk, or other
fillers. These DO NOT work as well for me. I take 4, 2 times a day with a
glass of H2O. My surgeon said this was OK for me. I took them when I was on
the Atkins diet.It just keeps me normal, not runny.I think this is a better
choice for me, as it is all natural. Some over the counter products, such
as senocot state "all natural", but they still have stuff in them
that our bodies become used to. Of cousre, always ask your surgeon first!

First of all, you need tons of water, Second,If it's frequency your worried
about you won't go as often because you take in less. If its rock hard,
then try Smooth Move, a natural tea that you can buy at Walmart. Good Luck!

Senna tea, which can be bought at natural food stores, is a natural stool
softener.
