Question:
Has anyone with a large pannus had PS sooner than 9 mos out?
I have a large pannus that I doubt will go back. I feel I will be at goal or close by 9 mos out. Right now I can see I have thinner legs and arms and just a large flap. I don't want to wait any longer than necessary to have PS. I have about a grade 3 pannus and documented back pain from the chiropractor. I have had no probs with rashes though. I meet most of the criteria...back pain...weight loss...babies..etc. just no rashes. Will I have a reasonable chance for approval? — Karen B. (posted on March 3, 2002)

I too have a Grade 3 pannus, going on Grade 4. I am having a
Panniculectomy at the same time as my RNY and gall bladder removal, on
March 14. My surgeon thinks he will remove 30 to 50 pounds from my pannus
magnamimous. Oh, happy day.

I'm not endorsing this or anything, but I read somewhere about someone who
used NAIR to give herself a rash right before she went to see her doctor..
Apparently nair will give you a dilly of a rash if you leave it on too
long.
