Question:
Has anyone tried the Zero Carb Isopure Protein.?

I am looking for feedback on Zero Carb Isopure Protein. Each serving contains a total of 50 grams of protein (2700 mg of isoleucine , 6750 mg of leucine , 5450 mg of lysine , 4.6 grams of l-glutamine.) Strawberries & Cream and Creamy Vanilla are Zero Carb. Dutch Chocolate is Low Carb Isopure with 3 grams of carbs per serving. Has anyone tried this yet? Zero Carb Isopure protein is fantastic! In my opinion it is the best tasting protein powder...and I bought many to taste test in the beginning when I was a new post op. The creamy vanilla is a fantastic and versatile base for all kinds of delicious shakes. The key to great protein shakes is to not use much liquid... only a half a cup of either skim milk or water, not to use too much fruit because of sugar considerations and the more ice the frostier. My Ispure shakes taste like Dairy Queen shakes. One more hint is to use Maple, coconut and coffee extracts... they add incredible flavor. The strawberry is pepto colored and has a fake strawberry taste that is not very versatile. The chocolate is good, but you can add a spoonful of cocoa to the vanilla to make a great chocolate shake... so the vanilla is the most flexible. GNC charges almost double what you can buy the Isopure for online... $55 vs. $31... so be a good shopper. Suze, lap rny 6, /11 down 99 pounds so far!

Just read your website.. Congrat on your loss!! I'm 5 1/2 wks. postop and have lost 33 lbs. I'm very much interested in where I could purchase the Zero Carb Isopure Protein drink. What I'm using now is getting old, I'm ready for something new... If anyone knows where this can be purchased as reasonably priced as possible-- PLEASE, DO TELL!!! I'm anxious to see if you post some information for us later about your cookbook. I know this takes time so I'll keep checking.. May I make one suggestion?? As a newer post-op of Open RNY- I am reading labels about the carb's, proteins, sugars, etc in everything. It would be very helpful if you would include the nutritional value of your reciepts along with the serving size. I've been reading several reciepts that some other WLS patients have made and this information is often missing, which makes it more difficult to make a "good choice". Again, congratulations on your weight loss success. Seasons Greetings! S.K.

My husband is a big fan of the vanilla with sugar free Tang. The chocolate with water & ice is not bad, but I prefer my ProScore 100, since it's thick-ish & rich in just 6 oz of water. When you make up your IsoPure, though, just use one scoop at a time. We really cannot absorb more than appx 30g at one time, so any beyond that is just dollars wasted and not helping you any. Also, beware what you add to it. High calorie liquids like milk & real juice can affect your long term wt loss AND cause you to have cravings you'd not have if you didn't get that sugar. Many people use the sugar free latte syrups for a huge variety.

I found the drinks at http://www.nojonetwork.com/zercaris2.html for a very reasonable price ($30.99 for a 3# container.) I just ordered them based on the positive feedback from you all. I also ordered a case of the assorted zero carb drinks individual glass drinks for $34.99 (12 to a case). I will give you all feedback once I try them myself.

I just picked some up from the local GNC and LOVE it!!! I had tried the GNC brand before and had to choke it down. With the Isopure Zero Carb I actually look forward to having my protein drink each day!

I have done a lot of research on this subject and have found the cheapest isopure to be at www.nathigh.com...they have free shipping for orders $100.00 or more AND PRICE MATCHING!!! Zero-Carb Isopure Clear glass drinks (like Crystal light) is $32.77 and they will price match houstonbuyersclub.com price for the Zero-Carb 3.3lb Isopure powder for $26.50 (can't beat it) and Solid Protein Bars for $2/ea or $24/case of 12. They don't have the ZeroCarb clear glass bottles (I like fruit punch) at houstonbuyersclub.com...that's why I did the price match thing at nathigh.com so I could get it all at the same time and have FREE shipping (that's what costs) All this is WAY cheaper than GNC...especially with FREE shipping. If this is unclear, or you have any ? Please e mail me.
