Question:
My surgery is November 16th. How much weight could I possibly lose by New Years?
I am very well aware that people lose at different rates. I also know that there are no definites in this world. I am just looking for a range on how much I could be down by New Years... thanx! — Janet C. (posted on November 8, 2001)

Janet - I started out at 243#, 5'6", and 35 y.o.. I am 6 weeks post
op today (about what you will be by New Year's Eve)and have lost 38#. But
you are right, different people loose at different rates. Drink lot's of
water, get in your protien and exercise as soon as you can... those are
the keys. Bunches of Luck!!!

Janet, I am 7.5 weeks out and I am down 54 lbs. I attribute this
larger-than-average (according to my surgeon) weight loss to exercising 4-6
times a week; my exercise last month averaged out to 30 minutes per day. I
started at 303 lbs and am 5'3". Good luck! The inches go by so fast at
first you will most likely be down 2-4 sizes! FUN!!
