Question:
How much is enough of a bypass in open RnY

My surgeon told me i am going to have 130cm of intestines bypassed next month my bmi is now 49% is that enough for adequate wt loss? Am I more likely to regain with this proximal ammount?    — Adena (posted on October 7, 2001)

Adena, I had 95 cms bypassed and I seem to be doing well; it's been just over three months now and I'm down 88 lbs.
