Question:
I want to eat all the time....
I am 8 weeks post op RNY, up until maybe a week ago I did not really feel head hunger, which I am assuming I now feel. I want to eat all the time, I wake up craving candy, watch the clock until I get to eat again etc. It's also PMS time but I'm seeing just how much I used to 'numb' myself with food, it's hard to turn off the 'head noise' and do something else. Will this pass, I know people go through it but will it get easier?? I'm going to bed now just to stop thinking about food. — Mandy M. (posted on August 14, 2001)

I am about 4 1/2 months post op and have been getting hungry alot again all
of the sudden. For about 3 weeks at the beginning I was never hungry and
had to make myself eat. Then all of the sudden I was STARVING! My doctor
said to start eating a bit more. Try to get more protein in and that
should help with keeping you full and not craving "bad" things.

There is a support group at www.groups.yahoo.com and look up OSSG-hungry.
It is for people who are dealing with the old hunger habits.
