Question:
When do steri stips come off

Mine came off (with a little help from me! lol) after 3 weeks. After I they came off I kept on pouring hydrogen peroxide on them for another week.

I did not have the little individual strips, I had 2 long one's (one over the other) My Dr. ripped them off at 4 weeks, and I do mean ripped them off..LOL... They said mine were not coming off becuase I wore my binder a lot.

They come off by themselves when its time. I have had them twice now (still some on as I type), they do fall off. I know they can be nasty, but I wouldn't mess with them, wouln't want to risk any opening back up of incisions and such. :)

Mine never came off until I took them off. I had a lap RNY and the nurse didn't tell me I was supposed to have my staples removed at one week. By the time I pulled them off at 2 1/2 weeks the incisions were a little green. Yuck! If you haven't been told when they should come off, ask the doctor's office!
