Question:
When to Swim

I am 13 days post op and although I know I cannot Swim per say they said I was able to go into the water and walk. When can i actually go swimming and do water areobics?    — Jennifer L. (posted on July 25, 2001)

I had Lap Rny on July 12th, I went back to water aerobics FOUR days post op. I asked my surgeon and he said this was fine as long as I didnt do any of the ab work. For open surgery I think you should wait alittle longer

I had a lap RNY - my doctor told me that I could start swimming again on the 4th day after my surgery. I did and no problems.
