Question:
I went for scoping, would this drug hurt my weight loss?
I went for scoping and they found an ulcer. The reg. Doctor(who doesn't know alot about rny's) asked me to "try"this drug-- Creon. When I looked it up it said it aids in digestive enzymes. Would this cause me to gain any weight?I mean one point of the srugery is the poor digestive of food so that we don't gain , right ? Anyways,if there are anyone out there who might know how this may affect the weight loss, let me know . thanks a bunch. God Bless each and all. Was it a marginal ulcer? Did they offer Prilosec or something along those
lines? Carrafate for the discmfort (coats the pouch lining)? What would
digestive enzymes have to do with ulcer?? I think you are WAY bright to
have picked up on this! Yes, they will mess with your wt loss to a degree.
It does exactly as you said, which is to cause you to digest more of your
food. Are you low in protein & you're to add it to protein or anything
like that? I've had to use a variation of same when I've gotten silly with
my protein and sure enough, it adds enough wt to make me uncomfy. Hope
your regular surgeon can fix this for you without much more fuss.
Unfortuantely, being an ulcer queen long before WLS, I was a natural for
the marginal ulcer. I think I should own stock in Prilosec by now, or at
the very leat drive a pretty purple car!
