Question:
When can you start working on your arms?
I was wondering when it was a good time to work on your arms. I want to avoid as much as possbile having them look "flabby". Can i start after surgery with some basic 5lb dumbbells? and what other exercises besides cruntches that will work out the tummy without pulling on the insicion. — Jennifer L. I disagree with the other post. I have been working with light weights for
two months now and already notice a difference in my flabby arms, they
are'nt as flabby, even my breasts are firmer and I've nursed two kids.I
waited til 3 months post op to do it though, docs orders

I work out every day (7 mo post), but sometimes, if I do crunches, my
stomach aches, so I dont do many, if any. But - my gym offers a weight
training class - and I know that people have been able to reduce thier
arms. I am seeing some difference, but, unfortunatey, I'm still flapping
like crazy. Exercise is the most important part -

I was told that if you are under 30 then you have a good chance of being
able to firm up your skin but if you are over then it is not likley.

I think the 5lb dumbbells is a little too much especially for repetitions.
2lbs or the best for sculpting and repetition exercises. Even 1lb are
good, especially when you starting out.
