I`m almost 60---will be in Sept. & I`m scheduled for wlsin Aug. Also
there is a woman in our support group who is 66 & had the surgery done
2 yrs. ago & has lost 142lbs.
and has done terrific. The surgeon I`m seeing has done wls from age14 to
70---& the 70 yr. old was a man who did just fine.So I`m counting on
doing just fine.Someone said someone older may not lose as fast; but do
lose eventually. Stay positive--you`ll do fine. Hugs & blessings,

My age is 50 1/2 and my BMI is almost 51, like me! At my support meetings,
there are more than several women in their 60's who have had this and look
great! Some have multiple health problems and comorbidities.

I know several ladies who were over 60 when they had their surgeries. MY
GOSH! It made them 30 again! They've lost down to near normal body wt,
have great labs, feel good and are running their husbands ragged with golf
and vacations and projects and fun.
