Question:
Panni problem with vertical c/section scarring?
I have had a c-section and a hysterectomy, both vertical scars. With the panni going horizontal, will there be a problem at the point where they intersect? I am still a long way from this procedure (wls 2/01) but have been "worrying" about it. — Doris R. (posted on April 14, 2001)

If both your scars are large, they may even be able to redo them into one
smaller one. After all that's what plastic surgeons do-- make big scars go
away. Best wishes.

I am one year post op and last month (ll months post op from WLS) I had 2
hernia repairs and a Tummy Tuck done at the same time. I had a
Hysterrectomy, c-section and my WLS surgery all done vertically. My doctor
cut out all the old scars from the incisions and cleaned up all the areas.
The scar for part of the TT goes from hip bone to hip bone and the vertical
incision goes from breatbone done to the hip scar, I have been very pleased
with the way they look and have healed to date. I was glad when the doctor
stated he would get rid of all the old scarring and clean up in the
incisional line. Best of luck

It's finally that time for me. The plastic surgeon told me the same thing
Ann told you. Good luck!
