Question:
Does anyone else experience a very metallic taste in their mouth?

Hi! I am not sure how many weeks/months you are post-op. However, I can
tell you that for the first 3 months or so after surgery, I had a terrible
metallic taste in my mouth. I suspect it was a result of the anesthesia.
I fouund some sugar free peppermints and just sucked on those when I wasn't
drinking or eating. I am 11 months post op and down 201 lbs. Good Luck...

I had a metallic taste with water forever. It turned out to be a series of
marginal ulcers. They form at the stoma (outlet from the pouch to the
intestine) and make it difficult to get anything in, along with making
things taste "off". Having the stoma close up a bit too tight
can also make a nasty taste, but you'd likely be complaining of nausea
& vomiting, too. Still, an EGD might be in order if it's really
bothersome. The fix is easy.

Could it by the iron in your chewable vitamins?
