Hi Kim! I am pre-op, but have suffered from chronic migraines since
childhood. I don't know what has caused such a bad one to last three days!
(Ow!) You may want to talk to your Dr. about Amerge or Imitrex, they are
specifically for Migraines & aren't pain killers so they shouldn't
upset your tummy. I hope you feel better soon!

Hi Kim, you may need to have your electrolytes checked out. Sometimes if
you electrolytes are out of wack, heakaches are your body's way of saying
something is wrong. Are you taking you vitamins? Good luck!

Dear Kim, I also had terrible migraines at about the point in my wt. loss
that you are at. My Dr. speculated that it might have to do with the
release of lots of old hormones that are stored in fat cells. I had good
relief with imitrex--I preferred the injectible (it's a small preloaded
syringe) because the nasal spray left a horrible taste in my mouth for
hours after I took it. The shot worked very fast and left no aftereffect.
Good luck-

Kim, I used to work for a Neurologist and also suffer from migraines...the
migraine that you have might not be related to your surgery if that's what
your thinking brought it on, there are many "triggers" for
migranines...it could be from the different foods you may be eating
now...stress is also a major factor in bringing on a migraine so just try
to relax if you are stressed. I would also suggest that since you have had
this migraine for 3 days that you call your PCP and get in to see him or
her, they can help you with meds that they have in their office and can
also supply you with prescriptions for migraine meds...if you find that
they are more frequent than they used to be I would consult with a
neurologist and get checked out...the Dr. that I worked for used Zoloft
(used for depression) as a preventative med and it worked wonders in his
patients...good luck.
