How experienced is EXPERIENCED?

I know everyone speaks of finding a surgeon that is experienced in LAP if you are going that route, but how do you know if he has enough experience. My doctor is fairly new. He has been practicing for 3 years. I need some guidance.    — Trina L. (posted on November 29, 2000)
