My doctor wants to take my ovaries out and I'm scared to death. I had rny

There are lots of great hysterectomy support groups on the web. One is called "Hyster Sisters," I can't remember the URL but the site was very helpful when I had my hysterectomy and ovaries removed. Having two major surgeries within six months is a lot, but it all depends on why your physician wants to operate. Find out why he wants to remove your ovaries, check the support groups, and good luck!!

I had my WLS surgery in July 1999 and in December 1999 I had my ovaries removed. I had no problems, whatsoever, with the surgery (actually a piece of cake) compared to the bypass. I didn't want another surgery either but the alternative was worse. Take care and good luck.
