Question:
Has anyone had a nuclear stress done before their surgery, and if so, what's involved

My husband just had a stress test with nuclear medicine on his heart. It
took about an hour for the first part of the test, then he returned after
about an hour and they took x-ray but he said it wasn't painful. Hope this
helps.

I had the nuclear stress test done last June as my surgeon required it for
approval of WLS. I was injected with a liquid in my arm like an IV. I was
given an EKG and had blood pressure checked. Then I layed on a very narrow
table as a large machine passed over and around me.
(Similar to a MRI) I did this 2 times for about 30 min each time with a
getting up break in between. It was not bad at all. I was very relaxed and
could have fallen asleep if not for fear of falling off the narrow table.
Hope this helps you. Sheila
