Question:
how do you get off water pills? I take 6 *40mg. a day. Or do you have to stop?

Do you really take 6 of the 40 mg Lasix a day? WOW I take one a day and pee huge amounts. Did the doc say why he put you on so much? DO you take them all at the same time? Thanks for your info. Wes [email protected]

Hi There, I was never on water pills, until after surgery, and my surgon perscribed them, and that was two year ago, and I am still on them and they are doing what they are supposed to do. I follow my surgons advice, because I trust him, that he knows best. When I made my decission to have my surgery a couple of years ago, I made a commitment to follow all instructions and not do things my way this time. And I can say, I feel better than I have in 15 years. And am down 230lbs. to a nice 156lbs. So, the decission, is always up to you, weather you choose to follow instructions or not. He is you doctor. My surgeon didn't want me to use my water pills any more than needed.My feet and ankles swelled a few days post op. He didn't want me to get dehydrated from using them too often. I only take one as I need it.
