Question:
My doctor referred me to Dr. Kinter for WLS, but my insurance company

denied the request stating that I must be referred for multidisciplinary evaluation, and an appointment was secheduled for me to see a weight management program specialist on Sept. 1st. Has this happened to anyone, and what exactly is a weight management program? My PCP has never had a patient denied for this reason. Should I appeal, or should I see the doctor first?    — Pauline M.
