Question:
Breast Size. Has any one had a noticeable difference in breast size?
I had open Rny on May 18 and have lost 40 pounds. I am very happy with that.....but. I have noticed just lately that my right breast is noticeably smaller than the left one. Is this normal and do they even out? I don't want to be lop-sided forever. — Cathy L. (posted on July 2, 2000)

You are lucky that your breast have been the same size until now. Most
"normal" women have one breast that is larger than the other. My
left one has always been larger than the right one,and now since my open
RNY on 5/23/00 and 35lbs later, the right one looks even smaller and the
left one is bigger. Some people suggest that the left breast is usually
bigger because it sits over the heart and gets more blood supply. I don't
really know. All I know is that you are normal.
I had a friend in college who's right breast was an A cup and her left one
was a D cup. She looked pitiful. If it does get worse as the wt loss
progresses, then just plan to have them "evened out". I plan on
having a breast reduction if I do not considerabl reduce my breast size
with my wt loss. Plus I wouldn't mind them looking a little more
"perky". LOL. Hang in there. Can you tell when you have a bra
on? If so, there are all sorts of items to buy that can help them even out.
Please feel free to email me if you wanna talk about it some more. congrats
on the fantastic wt loss!!
Love
Valerie

I have lost 140+ pounds and I went from a 42D to a 34B and my boobs have no
substance to them at all. They look like skin with nipples. They are
flat. I don't know of anything that will stop that. I have seen a plastic
surgeon about implants but until I can get that done I have started wearing
padded bras and underwires.

Mine were always slightly lopsided, I have lost 42 pounds so far and have
started noticing they are smaller too. I need a size smaller already. I
haven't noticed anything else yet , thankfuly.

My right breast has always been significantly larger than my left. I am
pre op, and my right breast
is a DDD and my left is a DD. I asked my Doctor and he said that it is
totally normal to have one
breast larger than the other. He said that my right breast is probably
larger, because I am right
handed, and my right pectoral muscle is more developed than my left. I
don't know if this is true,
but it makes sense.

I am the exact same way, but before I lost weight you could still see a
noticable difference in the two. Now that I lost weight it is worse. One
side is always bigger than the other, some just more noticable than others.
One hand is bigger than the other, foot etc. Hopes this helps

b4 the surgery, now it fits like it should. Hope this helps.
