Question:
Has anyone here been approved for a tummy tuck with tricare prime?
I need to have a tummy tuck done next year to remove my apron and was wondering if tricare would approve it. — devine299 (posted on May 23, 2000)

As far as I know Tricare Prime approves it because it is a natural follow
up to the surgery. I am scheduled for WLS at Fort Sam Houston in Texas and
we have discussed that in about a yr post op I can come back for my tummy
tuck. Tricare Prime is good with this and if it is neccesary it will be
approved. I don't think you will have a problem with it. If you have any
more questions feel free to email me and I will try to help.
[email protected] is my address. Good luck.

I have tricare prime and had a friend that also had the same ins. She didnt
have WLS.. but got a bad apron after having a child, and they okay'ed a
tummy tuck for her no problem, in fact they offered it to her before she
even realized she could have it done. She just went in about chafing under
her apron and viola! they offered.
