Question:
I think I am eating way to much at once...
I can eat a whole cheese burger from mc donalds and a hand full of fries. With no problem oly being 8 months out that doesn't seem right. I had a proximal rny , I didn't think i'd be able to eat like that..? I wonder if i am messing up my surgery . I hope not.. — [Anonymous] (posted on May 7, 2000)

You really are not eating that much, stop worrying!! A McDonalds's
hamburger is not that big and a few shoestring fries? No one wants to
continue eating 3 bites of food and being full, one small burger is not
abnormal And let's face it, I don't know about you but I used to be able to
eat, well shall we say, a much larger quantity of Micky D's. So celebrate
the fact that you are able to eat a more normal portion of food (a
tablespoon of food is not normal just like a half gallon is not normal,
either!!) And 8 months post op is plenty of time to allow for a bit more
food.

Thank you for asking this question!! I was beginning to wonder if maybe
there was something wrong with me and that I had stretched my pouch out. I
can eat almost a whole cheeseburger from McDonalds and a handful of fries
before I feel full. Thankfully that this is "normal" and that we
aren't over doing it. I am 9 months post op and it's hard getting used to
the fact that we can start to eat like "skinny people". Good
Luck...
