I HAVE BLUECARE TENNCARE, I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON AN APPROVAL THRU THEM FOR
1 YR. GRANTED I HAD TO CHANGE DR.'S IN THE MIDST OF GETTING MY APPROVAL. I
WAS DAYS FROM HAVING THE SURGERY WHEN MY DR. DROPPED BLUCARE INSURANCE. I
AM KNOW WITH A NEW SURGEON, DR. AGBUNAG WITH SKYLINE MDCL. CTR. IN
NASHVILLE, TN. I AM ON HOLD WITH EVERYTHING AT THIS POINT BECAUSE,
TENNCARE/BC/BS IS STATE FUNDED. THE STATE IS PLANNING CHANGES FOR TENNCARE
SO ALL OF THE DR.S ARE AFRAID TO DO THE SURGERY, BECAUSE THEY WON'T GET
PAID. SO I AM UNPAITIENTLY WAITING FOR THE STATE TO NOTIFY MY PROVIDER TO
LET THEM KNOW IF THEY WILL PAY FOR THE PROCEDURE OR NOT. IT HAS BEEN A REAL
STRUGGLE FOR ME. TENNCARE HAS REALLY BEEN GREAT WITH KEEPING ME UPDATED. I
CALL THEM REGULARLY. IT IS THE STATE THAT I AM WAITING ON KNOW. I AM
LOOKING AT HAVING TO GET ANOTHER SURGEON OR NOT HAVING MY SURGERY THAT I
HAVE WORKED FOR FOR SO LONG! GOOD LUCK!

Tenncare WILL pay for WLS, IF you meet their guidelines. It said so
specifically on a letter I received from them telling me that the changed
due to take place APril 1st did not take place.
