I HAVE BEEN TOLD I HAVE COLITIS (HAD COLONOSCOPY ON 6-01)I WAS APPROVED FOR
SURGERY 12-02 AND HAD SURGERY DATE FOR 4-22-03 I WENT IN FOR MY PRE-OP
APPT. 3-28-03 AND WAS JUST READY TO GO AND HAVE BLOOD TESTS, X-RAYS ETC...
DONE, HAD PAPER WORK ALL DONE AND DOC. WAS LOOKING OVER MY MEDICAL HISTORY
AND THERE IS CONFUSION AS TO IF I HAVE COLITIS OR CROHN'S SO HE CANCELLED
MY SURGERY DATE!!!! I WAS SO UPSET. DOC. SAYS IF I HAVE CROHN'S I WILL NOT
BEABLE TO HAVE THE SURGERY. I COULD NOT LOOK AT THIS SITE FOR ALONG TIME,
BUT I DID GET ON TONIGHT AND FOUND THIS QUESTION. WOULD YOU BELIEVE I GO
2-MARROW (4-7-03) 8A.M. FOR A SECOND COLONOSCOPY TO SEE FOR SURE WHAT I DO
HAVE....SO I WAS TOLD IF A PERSON HAS CROHN'S THEY CANNOT HAVE THIS SURGERY
DONE.

I also have Crohns and my gastro doctor told me he felt it would be ok to
have it. I am just starting the whole process and plan to make an
appointment with gastro dr and have him write a letter for me to take with
me to the surgeon, so not sure what will happen, but I really hope it all
works out. Will keep you posted.
