Question:
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!!!!
Hi everyone, I just can't believe what happened today!! It is my 1 month anniversery since my open rny. I got on the scale and was a tiny bit disappointed to find that there was only a 1 pound lose for the week. Nowe, I know some of you would say - stay away from the scale - but I've chosen to way once a week for a progress charting. I was kind of bummed but know that this is something that is very likely to happen so I was prepared (w/ a frown). I've been wearing old sweats and draw string pants while I'm off work at home. I decided to go into my jeans and try some on. I started with the size 24 that I wore to the hospital for my surgery - they fell to the floor!! I put on a size 22 - they fell to my knees!! I put on a size 20 - and they were really too big!! I put on a size 18 and pulled them right up to my waist with no fight and even buttoned them!! I started dancing and yelling at the cat in joy!! CHECK THIS OUT!!!!! I couldn't believe it!!! So all you early post-ops out there - please - don't get discouraged by a tiny or no lb. loss. It doesn't always show on the scale - I'm living proof!! Success is more than a number. Congratulations! I sure there are lots of
other WLS successes that can't be measured by the bathroom scale.
Personally, I can't wait to find them. My first visit with the surgeon is
next month.

HAPPY DANCING WITH YA!!!! I was going to suggest that you also measure
yourself at least once a month .. because often times, when the scale
refuses to go down, we find our bodies are losing inches and re-adjusting
to your new weight!!! BRAVO GIRL!!! Keep up the good work!!!
