HI! I am 7 weeks post op... and I had a very quick recovery and healing time. I was in the hosptial just over 5 days, I had 2 weeks off of work, two days being home I took the belly support off (it drove me crazy) I was up and moving around wonderfully after the fourth day home. I even went shopping with my hubby on the following Saturday after getting home! I went back to work the beginning of the 3rd week, 5 hours a day for the first week then back to full time! I started going to the gym on my 5 week anniversary... which I love doing. I swim three days a week and work out on the machines twice a week. I had an open, distal w/gallbladder removal RNY on October 14, 1999.
