Question:
When can we start swallowing pills instead of crushing them or getting liquid form?

My doctor had me taking pills immediately.

I was able to take pills if they were the size of an M&M or smaller.
If not I was advised to see if they were chewable or orally available. It
seems that the coating on them is hard to digest and therefore you would
not get the dose prescribed by your doctor. Also the pouch is still
sensitive and certain medications if they sit in your pouch can cause
ulcers.

I was taking pills as soon as I got home from the hospital. Every surgeon
has a different opinion on what is best. :)

I could take small pills immediately, in fact I was sent home on pills for
pain managment. It took a while, maybe 2 months before I could get anything
bigger then Tylenol gelcaps down without gagging. Good luck!

ASK YOUR DOCTOR! Every surgery is different, so is your physician. So ask.

We were told 6 weeks as the pouch has alot of swelling early on after
surgery-kind of the same concept on why the surgeons give you liquids for
the first few days and then move to soft foods etc, so that your pouch has
time to heal and the swelling goes down.
