why are you having a revision

why are you having a revision and what does it take to have one done I am post op nearly 7 years and would love to lose more weight, because I need to.    — johnlette H. (posted on August 30, 2005)

i did because i was unable to eat meat or veggies for 6 months or more without vomiting :) they found my ring had turned sideways.

I had revision due to staple line disruption (SLD). My surgery was done in 1994, old way, so mechanical failure. I did not change surgery types or styles, merely repaired the pouch.

I am not in need of a revision as I'm a fresh DS surgery...but I know of a girl where I work that had the RNY and she had a revision because she gained all her weight back. Not up too much on revision....but good luck in your endeavors!
