Question:
Is there wls surgery after c-sections?
Ihave 3 c-sections, 2 bikini cut and 1 the old fashion way. Will I be able to still have wls, or is it too much scared tissue? — Big_Sassy (posted on June 14, 2005)

I had 7, count them "7" abdominal surguries and I had bypass
surgery. I can tell you I have so much scar tissue it isnt funny. So your
chances are very good that it won't be a problem.

Hello.. wanted to add my thoughts here, also. I had a C-Section,
abdominoplasty, and hysterectomy and had lots of scar tissue but my surgeon
performed the Lap RNY on me on March 18, 2005 and I am almost three months
post op. Had no problems or complications and have felt wonderful with 53
lbs gone forever. Best wishes on your decision. Linda M

I too have had 3 c-sections. There was never any talk about not being a
candidate because of that. I had my surgery the end of March. Good luck
to you.

Here's another yes answer! My C-section was actually a vertical incision!
So with my open rny(25 days out!)I pretty much have a continuous scar from
the bottom of my sternum to the top of my pubis! Your wls isn't anywhere
near your c-section. I tell people the scar below my belly button gave my
son life, and the one above is giving me a new life! Good luck!
