Question:
A funny thing about the boobs, almost 3 years post op...
I know there are a lot of women like me who were not happy about having the deflated boobs. I went from 269 pounds to 125 pounds and have loved every second except the boob issue. Interestingly enough, it seems as though the past 2 months have for some reason shown an improvement in the boob department and I was wondering if anyone else has seen this. I haven't gained any weight, but it almost like it's been re-distributing. They haven't gotten any bigger, but seem fuller and not tremendously inflated and inverted near the top anymore. ANyone else see this phenomenon??? I'm not complaining, but think I may be going crazy...LOL :) I will be 3 years post op in June. Thanks! — emilyfink (posted on February 21, 2005)

I wish!! Then I wouldn't have had to just spend $5000 on a breast lift!!
I'm over 3 years post-op and mine were deflated. At least now with the
breast lift they are full and perky!!

I had WLS 5/10/04, Pre Op 235.5, presently 135. I am 5"1'.
Pre Op I was a 42-44C (Lane Bryant). I am presently a 32DD or 34D (any bra
at Macys). Its wierd.....I'm happy. No complaints.

I hope this happens. I have always been very small. When I had surgery I
was a 42 barely B cup. Now I am at 34 barely A cup. I swear I could go back
to a training bra, or without one at all. My husband laughs at my bras, he
says they have so much padding they could stand up on their own.(Not that
he's complaining, he says all he needs is a handful, good man!) I am the
one that complains. But at least a good padded bra makes it look like I
have a couple small hills.

Mine "came back" somewhat at around 2 years post-op, which was
after my weight had stabilized for several months. Then I had an LBL,
recovered from that, and noticed that if I gain weight now it goes straight
to the boobs and not the stomach anymore (bonus!). I'm glad I didn't do
plastics on them back when they were still AWOL, because that turned out
not to be necessary . . . which is why I believe those folks who
recommended waiting for plastics until your weight has been stable for a
significant period of time (at least 6 months or a year in my case). In my
case they were right.

That happened to me too!!! My boobs all but dissapeared and I was so
depressed about the deflated little things. But at two and a half years
out they started to come back. Now, I am about 10 lbs heavier than I was
at my lowest weight, but that came back before the boobs. Even since then,
everything seems to be redistributing itself, like you said. I have a butt
again and that's nice too!

Thanks for everyone's posts! No, I am definately NOT pregnant (thank
goodness). I thought I was cracking up when I noticed this. For all those
who are crossing their fingers, its not that much better...not like I got
back to a size C or D like I used to be. In fact, the size is about the
same they just seem less deflated. I wish everyone the best of luck!!! :)
