Question:
Does anyone know of a surgeon who does the Lap Band surgery in Chatt,Tn or Nashville?

I thought I found a couple surgeons in Nashville but when my doctor called them they said they no longer do Lap Band surgery. Why are doctors not wanting to do the Lap Band anymore? If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.    — James (Jimbo) H. (posted on March 2, 2004)

Hi Jimbo, I'm not familiar with any physicians in the Tennessee area. I'm from NC, but another suggestion to find the answer would be to go to some of the message boards on Yahoo. There are several groups such as smartbandsters, bandsters, etc. Just go to yahoo and click on "groups" and type these names and when you are joined, then post your question. These people have had just lapband surgery from all over the country. They may have an answer for you. I had my surgery in Mexico and don't regret it for a minute. Good luck with your research. Im in Clarksville, about 45 miles from Nashville..Dr Steeley here still does lap i think; i see his ad in the paper. Good luck to you!
