Question:
More TT Questions, Getting Mine In 2wks And Getting Nervous.
I am getting my tt in 2wks. and I just want to know what it's like(pain, stay in hospital, ect.)? My pre-op appointment is just a few days before surgery, so im wondering what they do then too? Thanks! — Sandy M. (posted on January 11, 2004)

I'm not sure what kind of pre op appt you're having.. if its surgery
clearance.. they'll do whatever tests your doctor asked for. As to the
hospital, its probably similar to your WL surgery... I don't know how long
you'll stay so that's soemthing you'll have to ask. I was only in 24
hours... I was up and walking pretty quickly... it was painful but I had a
pump. Some people have an easy time.. I didn't.. it took me a very long
time to recover -- lots of skin removed, hernia repaired and a great deal
of muscle tightening. You will be very happy with the result though.. I
went from a size 14/16 to almost a size 10... sometimes a 10...

hi Sandy, at my pre-op I just signed all my consent paperwork and had time
to ask any last minute questions I may have, like which vitamins to stop
pre-op (Vitamin E) etc. May I refer you to a great website for support?
http://www.breasthealthonline.org/tummytuck.html I have been a member here
since I had my breast resuction in 2001. There are plenty of women to help
you get through this sane! LOL I am actually a volunteer staff member as a
co-host for the TT board. Also check out my profile and go to November
2003, you will see my post about everything that happened the day of
surgery. Good Luck!

I thought the tt was one of the easiest surgeries I had done. I was in at
10 am and out by 1:30 pm. I could have went home at 5 pm but my doctor
wanted me to stay overnight. I was able to get up and walk the very next
day with no problems.
