Question:
Has anyone been to Overlake Hosp. In Bellevue, Wa.?
Just wondering what the hospital is like. Do I need to bring much from home? Nice place? — Janet J. (posted on December 18, 2003)

Hey Janet. Fellow Seattle person here! (I live in Des Moines and work
downtown) You must have Dr. Simmonowitz? I didn't have him but a friend of
mine did. Wonderful Dr! I think she said that her stay at Overlake was just
fine. You don't really needto bring much. Just some toiletries and some
loose fitting clothing for when you go home. I also recommend earplugs
since hospitals are noisy and you could have a noisy roommate. Everything
else should be provided.

Dr. S. did my surgery at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, WA one year and two
days ago. I was well taken care of at Overlake and I really didn't have to
bring any personal or special with me. They have great very large gowns,
robes and slippers. As said previously, all you'll need is what ever you
need to wear home. I wore in and out a very loose fitting mid-length dress.
I was concerns that clothes that may have constrats, such as waistband,
might be uncomfortable. I did just fine and I am totally in love with Dr.
S. Good Luck in your new life. Joanne

Hi Janet. I have been a patient at Overlake twice. The first time was for
a pulmonary embolus. The nursing care was excellent. However, I did have
to share a room and it only had one tv in it. The second time was for a
hysterectomy and I had a big private room with a VCR. The nursing care was
excellent. They didn't have shampoo or bar soap- just some liquid
multipurpose soap for your hair and body. I recommend that you bring your
own toiletries. good luck to you. My surgery is 1/7/04 at Evergreen.
