HAS ANYONE BEEN TO UCI OR HAD DR ALLEN TRAN FOR PLASTIC SURGERY?

I HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY MY INSURANCE TO GO TO UCI PLASTIC SURGERY CENTER FOR MY ABDOMINOPLASTY BUT I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD GO THERE OR TO A PRIVATE PLASTIC SURGEON NAMED ALLEN TRAN IN FOUNTAIN VALLEY,CA. HAS ANYONE HAD ANY EXPERIENCE WITH EITHER ONE? THEY ARE BOTH IN ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA.    — christina K. (posted on November 23, 2003)

Hi, I had Dr. Allen Tran do my panni, in November of last year. The surgery was performed at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital. Dr. Tran has an office on Brookhurst. If this is the same doctor. I found him to be very capable. He is a fanatic about your lab results being perfect. I had to take a urine test three times before he would schedule my surgery, and my PCP had to write an authorization stating that I was OK for surgery. My surgery didn't cost anything PacifiCare paid for it. I did get a notice from his office that he no longer took patients from my medical group (Monarch).
