Question:
Low Sugar Recipes

Just an FYI. I went to Jello.com to look up some of their recipes and I found a few good recipes I thought you all should know about. They had 2 or 3 recipes that caught my eye for post-op use. I will be using them for myself and the kids. They have a lowfat lemon souffle cheescake that is only 100 calories, 2g fat, 11 carbs,5 sugars, and 9 grams protein and a Key Lime smoothie using sf lime geletin and cool whip free that is 60 calories, 11 carbs, 4 sugars and 2 grams of protein. I am sure you wouldnt not eat or drink these everyday, but I thought it might be okay for you all as far as a treat!! I am sure you could add protein powder to some of the recipes, too. They have several more listed on the website also. Hope it helps and I wil be trying some with the kids this weekend.    — ToriJ (posted on November 21, 2003)

The Key LIme pie made me dump - however I was still in the puree stage. Coolwhip has a tendancy to make my stomach turn flip flops now even at 6 months out.
