I do. I particularly like the applesauce made with splenda. I use splenda
in some of the foods that I eat with no problems.

I've found I can tolerate almost any of the sweetners, some more than
others. Try different ones and see which ones you like the taste of and
which ones settles with you best. Spenda, for me--gives me gas, and too
much means diahhra. Also, too much sugar alchol is bad for me, I end up
with "quality bathroom time"!!! Good Luck

I love Splenda (sucralose), and was using it pre-op. It's good for baking,
altho it's much drier than sugar. But the flavor doesn't change with heat,
so it's the best bet for baking, IMO.

The sugar alcohols are good, but using too much of some of them can cause
extreme "laxative" effect.

Aspartame (NutraSweet) gives me carb cravings, and the hungries.

You have to figure out what works for you, by using one at a time, and only
one for that day, and observe the results.

Others report increased carb craving with some of the sugar alcohols. And
those puppies can REALLY mess you up. Normie or postie . . . my DH found
out the hard way when he scarfed a whole package of SF cookies! :o)

Everyone is different, but artificial sweeteners and Splenda is usually
considered OK by surgeons. There's always going to be some food that
someone mentions that someone says they can't tolerate, so you never know
if it's because of the surgery or just because as they get older their body
changes and they don't tolerate things the same. If you are interested in
recipes using Splenda, fructose and turbinado sugar, check out my profile
or website at www.freewebs.com/recipes-after-rny for sample recipes, photos
and ordering information. Good luck to you!

I'm 5 1/2 months out and use Splenda to make Kool-Aid which makes getting
the water in a lot easier, gives me a large variety of flavors, and allows
my ADHD daughter to drink Kool-Aid again! I have absolutely no problems
with Splenda. :)

Splenda.....my new best friend-a, LOL. I'm still pre-op but love it. It
makes the SF all natural peanut butter taste great! Good Luck, Mea :o)
