Question:
Does any one find they can eat more one day than the other
Does any one find they can eat more one day than the other? Some things I eat three bites and I am full other things I can eat and never have a "feeling" in my stomache. I don't understand it. — Rebecca K. (posted on November 16, 2003)

MEEEEEEEE.. one day I cant get in any food , next day I feel like a
bottomless pit.. Its weird but i guess its our body trying to get the stuff
we need when we need it...

I am the same way and have read others on the board talk about that as
well. Some days I have a voracious appetite and other days can go all day
without eating. Also, some days I eat like a bird and others seem to gorge
myself.

Glad to know someone else has these feelings. I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and
thought maybe it was all in my head. Thanks for having the same problems.

Yeah - still - 16.5 months post-op, some days I can eat like there's no
tomorrow - other days I have to force myself to get the bare minimum in.
It's a strange thing. I thought it would go away after the first few
months post-op. I was wrong! I just go with the flow - and always make
sure to get the basic stuff in.
Blessings,

Yep. I don't understand it either. Some days I'm a bottomless pit, others I
get full after just a couple of bites.

Wow all you other posters sound like me and I am 9 months out, some days I
can eat great and others not a thing. I keep track of my intake really well
and some days I can eat about 900 to 1000 calories a day and then the next
I am lucky to do 400 or so. I just learn to go with it and make sure I get
in all my important stuff first everyday then what room is left I eat
whatever works. LAP RNY DISTAL 02/19/03 412/236/200

I am exactly six months out as of this week. The answer to your question
is yes. There are days that I seem I can not get enough to eat and then
there are days that I have to remind myself to eat and I am still losing
weight of about a pound a week. I guess this is something all of us go
through.

Yeppers!!! I am 3 years out and I still have days where I am a bottomless
pit and some days I dont want to eat a thing! Of course by me saying
"bottomless pit".. still doesn't mean I can eat all the portions
like I did pre-op, but still eat more than I normally do.

Me too!! I am 4 months out today and some days I am hungry and other days
I have no desire to eat at all!! I literally have to force myself to eat.
At least we know we are all in the same food boat - that is what makes this
site so wonderful. God Bless!! Laura/Open RNY 17Jul03 -72lbs.

I am normally not very hungry and just eat what I have to so that I can get
all of my calories and protein. But, I have noticed with it is that time of
the month. I am so hungry and I eat so much, it is like I can not get
full. I just thought it was during that time my body needed more. I can
still only eat 2 or 3 oz's of food at a time, but it seems like I am eating
all day.

Every day is different. I am 9 months out. I just ate a 6 oz. can of tuna
w/ onions and lite mayo for lunch. I am not stuffed. There are times
though, when I can eat a chicken thigh or half a breast and can't eat a
bite more. I kinda wish I had more days like that.

I am so glad that I am not alone! I am almost 5 months out and I somedays I
can't believe that I can eat as much as I can...others, it is 3 bites and I
am finished! I kinda like the variety though
