Question:
Anyone 5'5 150-180 pounds?
I am trying to figure out what I might look like if I reach these weights. What size do you where, how much do you weigh and do you have any pictures I can look at of you at this weight? Thanks for your help. — Stacie B. (posted on November 10, 2003)

I am 5'6" and weigh 150. I currently wear a size 8 in most dresses
and trousers. There is a photo of me on my profile in which I weighed 160.
People call me "skinny", but I don't see it. I am 10-15 away
from goal.
Best wishes.

I'm 5'7" at 163 (as of this morning). I wear a 12 in pants/jeans and a
med. top - sometimes large because I hate to have shirts that are too
fitted. I have a photo on my profile. I'm still pretty bottom heavy. I have
a panni and some padding on my hips and thighs I'm dying to get rid of.

2 years post-op, 5'5".5 and fluctuate around 145. My photo on my
profile page is when I was 160 and was wearing a 12. I am now in a 10,
which is an average, sometimes I can wear an 8, sometimes a 12. It really
depends on the manufacturer. I bought a size 6 shorts this past summer,
but that has been the ONLY 6, unfortunately!

What is your bone structure? Everyone will look a little different at
150-180. Good luck.

I'm Five foot Five and weigh 160 ish (maybe a little less) I am wearing a
size 12 bottom and a Medium top. I tend to be bottom heavy, but have
average bone structure. I've been wearing a 12 since about 170 lbs. I'm
just a few pounds away from a 10, with any luck.

Stacie,
I am 5'5 and now weigh 185 pounds. I started at 318 pounds and had surgery
almost 15 months ago. I feel most comfortable in size 16 pants and shirts.
I can wear a Large (14s are way too tight), but because I don't like my
clothes too tight, I won't wear them. After reading the other's responses,
I am really amazed at how different everyone's sizes really are!

Everyone is different. Some are apple shape and some pear shape. Some
have more muscle and some do not. If I sent you a picture what would you
get out of that? Don't try to be anyone else. Be yourself! Your note
doesn't say if you are pre-op or post-op. I have read several questions on
this site about "how come I'm not losing faster?" All I can say
is we are all different and our bodys will dictate how it will respond to
this surgery. If we follow the diet (eat FF or low fat, no sugar, low carb
food and exercise our bodys will change. This surgery is a tool only. We
have to operate that tool correctly or it will malfunction. Don't worry
about what others look like. Just keep your head up, and be proud of who
you are. :)
